Best Lip Balm!!November 4, 2008 I have tried a lot of lip balms over the years. About 5 years ago I was able to fly Businss Class and they provide a small toiletries bag. It contained small-sized items: toothbrush, toothpaste, kleenex, L'Occitane hand lotion and a tube of L'Occitane shea butter lip balm. I was hooked on this lip balm as soon as I tried it and have been purchasing it ever since. I hadn't had chapped lips in 5 years!!! It is pricey but totally worth it IMHO.

Eh, eww.May 19, 2008 I tried this with high hopes that it would be a great night time balm since it has no spf, no heavy scent, no odd taste. Except this turned out to have the worst taste in a lip balm I've tasted in a long time. The taste was so badly unexpected that it didn't register at first that the odd chemical taste came from the lip balm. So I applied it again, yes, the terrible taste was the balm. Now, I will admit that hey, maybe the problem with the taste is just me, or maybe just this one tube of lip balm.... but, the hard consistency of the stick, with the high price tag, nah... nothing special enough here to get me to keep trying.
Worth every pennyFebruary 21, 2008 I also have extremely dry lips, and i've tried everything. This stuff really works! at first when i put it on it felt like other products i've tried so i didn't think it was going to work, but after 2 days i noticed i didn't need to put vaseline on as much as i used to. I still have to use my other products, but this stuff makes me use them less often. Well worth the price!
One word... AMAZING!!!!February 10, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Let me start off by saying that I had EXTREMELY dry lips. They would crack and peel everyday. I have tried everything from medicated lip balm to department store varieties, Burt's Bees, and just about every brand of drugstore chapstick & lip balm. I read reviews and thought I'd give this a try. When I first put it on my lips it felt different than anything else I had tried. It is nearly odorless and tasteless which is also something I am not used to. It felt like rubbing a smooth candle on your lips, it's smooth but kind of hard and you really need to press to get it on. Ok, with that said I wasn't so sure about it. Not that is was a bad thing but just not seeming like anything special. Well after about 10-15 mins. my lips already started to feel so soft, and what I really love is that it does not feel waxy or greasy and it's not to shiny. It just feels how your lips should always feel, soft, and supple. It stays on far longer than anything else too! I put in on before I went to bed, other chapsticks have made me breakout at night. Not this one. The very next day my lips were still soft and did NOT PEEL and haven't since. I use it at lease once a day now, just because I love it, but you could get away with once a week and still have amazing lips :) I will never buy anything else for dry lips again. For me it is worth the few extra dollars to never have dry lips again. You will not be disappointed with this lip balm. I am going to pick up the body cream next!

I've tried Neutrogena, Petroleum jelly, Chapstick brand, WD40- you name it, all in search of a good lip balm. They only temporarily lubricate your lips. L'Occitane, however, eliminates the dry lips. I first used this lip balm day and night for just a few days and I saw and felt a MAJOR difference. There was no longer a dependency for lip balm. Even on the days I forgot to apply lip balm, my lips were in good shape. I will never purchase another brand lip balm ever. Now if they just can just reduce the price...
