Agreed - hyped and disappointingOctober 1, 2008 I really wanted to love this product because it was highly recommended by Laura Baumann, whose book I love and follow closely (Skin Type Solution). But I agree with some others that this product doesn't deliver visible results. I've used it a couple of different times (wanting to love it), along with the eye silk. Neither did a thing for wrinkles. This is a so-so moisturizer - nothing special, it dries up quickly, has a nice texture while it lasts, but it doesn't last in my desert climate. The Eye Silk is weird. It has a greasy-ish / velvety / suedish feel to it, so it's like layering some smothery type of agent in your eye area. It kind of feels nice, I guess, but I'm not at all convinced it does anything for elastin production or anything else (wrinkles). And you would never wear makeup over it (it would roll off), and forget using any other treatment product over Eye Silk because it could never penetrate the Eye Silk. In addition, these products aren't cheap! So all in all, "I've been down one times, been down two times . . never going back again."

I've tried many products in my search for youthful skin.I'm 53-and I've been searching for years.Relastin is one product I always come back to.This cream feels like silk on my skin.After washing my face,I use relastin.Then I wait about 15-20 min.Now I put on moisturizer;sometimes it feels as I don't need mosturizer.My skin has never looked better,theres'an inner glow and skin feels super smooth.There are 4 beauty items I will never be without and this is one of them.

I was excited to receive this product after reading so many great reviews. I've used it faithfully for three months now and really can't see any difference. I love the way it goes on; like silk. It's not greasy and has no fragrance which I like. As another reviewer commented, it is very drying and it doesn't have sun protection. It's a wonderful cream but way too expensive just to be used as a cream that doesn't even moisturize. I have fair skin and an average amount of wrinkles for sixty years. I hope this review helps you to decide.

Relastin promotes itself as restoring elastin to skin which reduces fine wrinkles and allows facial skin to "bounce back." Nice theory. I've been using it now for about 3 months. I find Relastin to be a wonderful moisturizer: long-lasting and non-greasy. But as for the reduction in fine lines...nada.

I just wrote a glowing review for Relastin Eye Silk, the companion product to Revitalizer. I use them both and am really thinking of nominating Dr. Relastin for the Nobel Prize in Skincare. I went through a lot of cash on anti-aging products that didn't really work (although a couple of them smelled great, which is actually OK, but only if they are reasonably priced) before I discovered Relastin about a year ago. I apply both products in the morning and in the evening, and talk about them frequently in between!
