Product Description Fake Bake uses the highest quality ingredients and tanning agents combined with new patent-pending technology to give the ultimate tan from a bottle. The unique formula starts working upon contact with the skin, however, a nighttime application is recommended to receive the maximum benefits for a longer lasting tan. Week 1: Always wear gloves. Use small amounts and apply on clean skin. Lightly glaze over hands and feet. Bend elbows and knees when applying. Allow to dry before going to bed. Can be used on face. Following morning: Small amount of color guide will rinse away in shower, but your tan remains. Can be applied several nights in a row to achieve desired tan. Week 2: Normally, apply only once a week, however, you determine if more applications are necessary for deeper tan. (Use FAKE BAKE Body Polish once or twice a week).
Love itAugust 29, 2008 This stuff is the best tanner I have come across yet. It is a little work to apply, but well worth it and really not much more than the work you should put into applying any tanner.

You don't look yellow or orange (like the oompa luumpas do) but...be sure to wear gloves because the lotion is brown which is a good thing because you know where you have not put enough or too much! It does not smell bad like the others at first, but eventually it does...but do not take a shower right away or it will be all for not! If you have tattoos, you can go lighter over those too! If you forget about the gloves, windex will take the rest off your hands!
Good to go!July 11, 2008 I tried this after my friend had an amazing bronze that I can never get. I am very fair so didn't know what to expect. I tried it on my legs only first. It is very easy to use, with gloves! I used very little and the bottle will last a long time for me. It was tacky and moist for a few hours afterward but easy to see where I put it on and where the streaks were. It faded perfectly at my feet and bikini line as I wanted it. There were no problems at my knees. Just take your time putting it on, smooth over it lightly and you can add on on additional days. I worked with other moisturizer to soften a bit at the knees. It did darken my white sheets, but a normal wash later and they are back to normal. The whole application I thought, this doesn't smell at all, and it really doesn't. The color is very natural on my redheaded skin and I thought it would almost be too much but i'm just not use to seeing myself "tan". I definitely recommend it. Edited review after further use: soooo gooood. Great color, no smell, easy to work with, doesn't stain, doesn't streak - even wearing clothes, moving around, sweating, etc right after application.
It's OkJune 25, 2008 I purchased the product because of all the great reviews but it wasn't what I thought it would be. First of all, you definitely need to wear gloves unless you buy self-tan remover, but it looks great when you put it on, deep dark color from the color guide (sometimes a little too dark so it's a relief it washes off) but I have medium skin with yellow undertones and I got BARELY any color with the first application. I used it for 4 consecutive days and I turned yellow. The worst part was when it started to fade, it faded in PATCHES, not evenly! I thought this product would be my last self tanner but I'm still looking...
