Most of the lavender fragrances I've tested or used have been far too harsh. Leave it to the Italians to smooth it out with the other notes of orange blossom,lemon and bergamot. Though softened, however, it has not lost its refreshing quality; it is my favorite splash-on when it's stinking hot. Lovely stuff.
