Customer Reviews:
This product is amazingSeptember 3, 2008 I've been using this for several months and I am VERY happy with the results. A nice, even dark tan that looks like I've been lying out at the beach all day - what's not to love?
I also don't see how this product could have NOT worked for the first poster. I mean, wrong shade, that I could understand - but streaks? I have never used a product that left me with a more consistent, streak free, color. And I have used plenty of fake tanning products - including everything at the drug store, Clarins(which everyone else swears by), and the spray tanning booth where you cover your hair and eyes and are hit with the stench of chemicals . . . and ended up with plenty of clumpy, unnatural, streaky finishes - but never with this. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the first reviewer just sprayed, and didn't rub (FYI, not a good idea).
I also don't go to the same lengths as the second reviewer(although I might in the future- the makeup sponge is a good idea). Normally, though, I just shave my legs (which exfoliates them), scrub the rest of my body with an exfoliator (normally Bliss, sometimes Kiehls), moisturize lightly (Bliss body butter is OK but use it lightly), spray the tanner, and then rub it in for about five -ten seconds/area. Nothing more than that and my tan is PERFECT.
tan in a canDecember 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wish the other reviewer had contacted Bliss before tossing this product in the garbage. I've found A Tan For All Seasons to be the most reliable way to fake a tan...not an orange or a stripe, if you know what I mean.
As with any self-tanner, prepping the skin is important. First, use an over-all body scrub -- like Bliss Vanilla-Bergamot Body Buff -- rinse and towel dry completely. Then spray on the "tan" and distribute it evenly using latex or vinyl gloves and a small, round artist's sponge.
(The gloves protect against tell-tale fake-tan-hands. The sponge makes it easy to hit every area, blending and buffing as needed.)
I like A Tan For All Seasons not only for the catchy name, but because it's easy to apply, dries quickly and looks natural. Each "tan" lasts a couple weeks, and the can seems to last forever; well worth the $36.
Not for me!July 25, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Perhaps I was not using this product correctly - but I sprayed it on - it did not go on evenly and I just threw it out in the garbage. I guess I should have returned it - but didn't know where to begin to do that. Out it went! I NEVER do that!
