Product Description The legendary stuff that is Sweep, boosted for super body smoothing with a rousing blend of botanicals (rosemary, lavender, thyme) and super-sized sloughing grains. Possibly the most 'spa" stimulating scrub stuff we've ever sampled.
Customer Reviews:
Super-fine Grains. Smooth, Easy Application. But Too Much Camphor!May 2, 2008 Laboratoire Remede Sweep Body has super-fine white marble scrubbing granules in a core formula of beeswax, paraffin, and essential oils of lavender, pine, rosemary, and thyme. It is a white paste of medium consistency that boasts scrubbing grains finer than most facial scrubs. The fine grains make for smooth, easy scrubbing, and they are effective at removing debris and leaving skin silky. Apply to wet skin, massage in a circular motion, and add water as needed. It's expensive, but a little Sweep Body goes a long way. About a teaspoon will do my entire back. It lasts twice as long as scrubs that cost half as much, so, shower for shower, Sweep Body may actually be moderately priced.
Sweep Body's fatal flaw, to my mind, is camphor, which is listed in the additional ingredients, not in the formula core. But it makes its presence known. The smell of camphor overpowers any herbal scent that might be there. And worse, it causes an unpleasant sensation should it accidentally contact sensitive areas of the body. Sweep Body does a good job of exfoliating, and the grains are gentle even if you scrub too much. But the camphor is smelly and too tingly to sensitive parts. So I give this pricey scrub only 3 stars. I'm a bigger fan of Laboratoire Remede's Sweep scrub for face, which is fragrance-free and great for sensitive skin.
