Undertones of bug sprayDecember 5, 2008 I bought this scent in a sample box from Sephora. It has a very strong undertone that reminds me of bug spray in the 70's ("OFF!", I think). I noticed that several of my perfume samples have the very same fragrance note so it must be popular now (it might be the patchouli or sandalwood??? although I usually like those). Whatever the note, it is a very strong spicy/woody smell that doesn't work with my chemistry or my nose. I only used a very small touch of the stuff since it was new & I didn't know how strong it would be. I didn't like it much in the bottle but I must say that when I first applied the scent I loved the initial dry-down which was very soft & powdery. But then that woodiness was RIGHT THERE & just too strong.
Simply sensationalNovember 25, 2008 Very true to its name and definately one of the best perfumes. Just bought this recently and used it for a couple of occasions. Recently when I wore it, my guy just kept complementing me and you know what followed later .. ooOooOOooOooO. A must buy for a lady.
Glamorous FemininityNovember 5, 2008 I almost didn't buy this because of the 3 bad reviews for this product. AM I GLAD I TRUSTED MY OWN INSTINCTS! Let's get things straight. This perfume is called "Very Irresistible" - what qualities would you associate with a name like that? Don't expect this to be a light and clean, smells-like-soap scent. This is a *modern* floral scent - vibrant and glamorous - and because it's "strong", one spritiz lasts you all day (keywords: one spritz). If you're still not sure, go to the store and get a sample.
Lovely, Fresh ScentOctober 3, 2008 I'm always on the lookout for scents that not only smell good, but aren't so strong that they give me a headache (as I'm prone to getting them). Very Irresistible is just such a scent - it's light and it smells incredible, and while it has staying power, it's not so strong that it becomes overwhelming. While it is a bit pricey, I think it's worth it, because this is one of the best fragrances I've ever tried.

Well, I bought this perfume based on the recommendation of the salesperson at Macy's. She said it was the #1 seller in the store for a year. So, even though I wasn't crazy about it in the store, I figured I wanted to be "with it", and I bought it. Well, at home, I sprayed it on, and my 5-year-old son says "Mom! You smell like camping! Like that stuff we spray on for bugs!" Needless to say, I haven't worn it since. Maybe it's just my body chemistry with it. You should definitely try this on before you buy it (and maybe ask a kid for an opinion!). I gave two stars because the bottle is unique.
