Outstanding eyelinerJanuary 4, 2009 I am a self-proclaimed eyeliner retard. I never apply it correctly and always end up looking like the raccoon from "Pocahontas." I purchased the Stila Smudge Pot after reading excellent reviews, and holy cow, all you people were right! This is the best eyeliner I've ever used, and I can actually apply it with relative ease! The Smudge Pot has the consistency of a thick gel. I also purchased the Stila Smudge Pot Brush to apply this product, and it worked like a charm. Be sure to only dab a very small amount of the product onto the brush, as a little goes a long way. The eyeliner lasts all day and night...my only complaint is that it's a tad difficult to remove, but that speaks to its staying power. I will definitely purchase this product again and again!
Overhype!August 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This smudgepot is OVERHYPED! I do not understand why it has received so many 5 star reviews. Within a 30 minutes of applying it, I always notice black remnants of it on my lower lid. At the end of the day I look horrible because the liner has rimmed my bottom and inner eye area. Maybe I should wait until it dries up a bit so it won't smudge so much. I regret purchasing this product. I should have tried bobbi brown or smashbox.
Best Eyeliner I've ever used!!!!July 4, 2008 I used to use pencil eyeliner until someone recommended this eyeliner to me. After a few hours, the pencil eyeliner always created dark circles under the eyes. I was so tired of it! I am so happy with this product because the dark circles never appear even when I'm in the pool. (Be sure to use waterproof mascara too.) My eyes are not oily so that could be why it works so well but it seems like it works well on everyone. I sure got all my friends to start using it and they all love it!
Smudge Pot Better than Pencil LinerMarch 13, 2008 Have always hated pencil liners, yet any makeup in the form of a pencil. It needs sharpening and wastes product in the sharpener. These smudge pots have their pros and cons. Pros; staying power once applied and dried is amazing, easy to smudge before it dries, less waste of product in a pot, heck you can even use a q-tip like I do to apply (works as good as a brush if you master it), inky intensity is dark especially the black is really black not dark grey, pot lasts long time even if you apply everyday. Cons; after applying the product dries in a matter of five seconds so smudge upon application, keep that lid closed tight all times even during application to avoid product drying out thus can be hard to work with, with staying power comes hard to remove with standard soap and water, but you can use olive oil or eye makeup remover to help out. Still I give this product max stars, have cobalt blue and black. I hear blue liner is the new black but in my opinion a fun change! I recommend this liner just give it a try and practice applying with brush or q-tip.
Freaking AmazingMarch 2, 2008 NOTHING works as well as this. It lasts a very long time on your eyes, you won't even have to reapply if you go out in the evening after work. As long as you use a thin brush and follow your lash line the application is smooth and even. The reviewer who wrote that it didn't go on well must have been riding on a gravel road while applying! LOL. Enjoy!
