Product Description Vivara: a classic reemerges. Launched in 1966, the original Vivara became an instant sensation. Slightly updated with a modern interpretation, this green floral fragrance contains hints of the Italian Riviera. Dazzling notes of sun-drenched almond amaretto, floral sambac jasmine, narcissus and a touch of orange blossom remind you of the aromatic fragrances of the Mediterranean and sweep you away on imaginary journeys. The design that lies beneath the glass bottle cap was inspired by Pucci's Vivara print, which previously appeared on clothing and accessories.

springtime in one spritzNovember 17, 2008 I adore this fragrance. first off unlike many others, I don't care for the bottle- it is cute, but a bit cumbersome. that matters little, as it holds a true masterpiece of a fragrance. this scent is like a kalidoscope of fragrances unfolding just for you, beautifully. Vivara opens with fresh, white florals- jasmine paired with bergamot, which sounded to me like an odd combo, but the notes blend delightfully. bergamot, a citrus scent, is tempered by the soft warmth of the jasmine. there used to be a huge wall covered in night-blooming jasmine on Russian Hill that I would walk past, and the scent was intoxicating in the clean night air. the jasmine here is like that- a sexy but fresh white floral that is not heavy. it conjures up warm moonlit nights in a secret garden of night flowers that embrace you in their mysterious sweet scent. the amaretto is subtle, a sweet but not at all a cloying or 'candy-like' accord, that remains a soft constant beneath the other notes as they unfold. the fragrance changes by the minute, revealing more delicious facets as time passes. the last notes are a gorgeous, juicy and crisp green melon with the jasmine lingering for an enchanting partnership. fragrance usually doesn't affect me this way, but I spray my arm and just can't keep my nose away from it! I urge you to try Vivara. it is the essence of spring and summer, and a perfect scent for hot, sticky weather: it refreshes and restores the spirit. and it wears for hours! I love Pucci Vivara. an absolute jewel of a scent.

Buy it for the bottle, wear it for the scent!June 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I admit it. I bought it without knowing the smell simply because I loved the bottle. I'm glad I took a chance because the scent is wonderful - especially in the spring/summer.
It's light and delicate. While it doesn't say lime anywhere, it sort of reminds me of a great lime/floral scent. Since I bought it, I've rarely used another perfume (and I have dozens of them). So take a chance!
lovely spring scentMarch 13, 2008 beautiful! I was looking for a spring scent that would give me a lift from my heavier winter scents (clinique elixir, lancome attraction) and this is lovely. I get alot of compliments, which is great and interesting, since the smell doesn't seem (to me) to last as long. Apparently, other people disagree!
