Nicely doneJuly 29, 2008 I love IN CONTROL. It's a flanker to CURIOUS, but I can't pick up on any similarities between the two fragrances. It's limited edition which is a shame, as I much prefer this to the original. (It is still in a lot of stores though; have they made it permanent due to popularity?) It's much lighter then CURIOUS, yet I can still pick up on the fragrance after a day at the office.
As you can guess, it is a sweet fragrance, but it's not sickly. The soft floral notes seem creamer as they're enveloped in the creme brulee & the vanilla & musk notes warm the fragrance up. IN CONTROL blurs the top, heart & base notes into one on me.
I'd recommend this for autumn/fall as it's so warming & comforting. I also like the black bottle; very dramatic. If I see IN CONTROL in any shops I'll be stocking up on it.

I read in an article reviewing this scent that the original intention was to make it both "sweet and sexy" and like many readers as soon as I read this I brushed it off. Another generic vanilla based perfume on the market *yawn*. But when a friend of mine recently purchased her other scent "Fantasy" I immediately fell in love - however the cupcake base in it made it a bit too sweet and gave me a headache. So after hearing that Control was a bit less sticky sweet I decided to go out on a limb and buy a bottle.
Words can not describe how perfectly this scent captures what it set out to create or how much I've fallen in love with it. The vanilla base mixes incredibly well with the tonka and creme brulee giving it a very candy like smell that when the dry down phase is over gives a sickly sweet perfume a very naughty kick indeed. Don't be fooled by passing this off as another cheap foody scent - this is a deep, rich gourmet set of sweets we're talking about here - *very* rich and *very* dark. For the price this is one of thee best perfumes on the market and I'm happy to announce I'll be making it my signature scent from now on.
More mature than fantasy, more elegant that Midnight - love at first smell has never been so solidly guaranteed before in a bottle! I promise you won't be disappointed so give it a try.

This product was purchased for a Christmas present for my granddaughter. She seemed very excited when she opened her gift--she said that she "loves" the scent.

I loooove this perfume! It smells so wonderful! This is my favorite of all Britney's scents.
