I don't like the plastic doll face lookAugust 4, 2008 I thought this would be a good moisturizer for my combination-oily skin. Wrong. It made my face look shiny the moment I applied it, while leaving my skin feeling tight and dry. The idea is nice; oil-free, allergy tested to the max; but it's not for me. I also tried the lotion, and that left me greasy. Most of Clinique's products are junk, and the moisturizer is no different.
It's simply greatJune 17, 2008 I like clinique products and particularly the 3 steps and this is one of the products that is part of them. I like them because they are affordable, easy to use and it does not require a lot of time.

I purchased this from a lord and taylor store to benefit from a promotional gift they were giving for clinique purchases. I had tried the lotion version once (one of my friends uses that) and felt it could be above average. Since my skin is to the oily side i purchased the gel. It is almost a week that I'm using it but didn't see any amazing results. It feels a little sticky in my hands after i put it on my face and do not like the feeling that much. when i tried the lotion version, it wasn't like this. Overall it is an OK allergy-tested moisturizer but i didn't see anything different compared to the neutrogena oil-free moisturizer I used to use. That's why i gave 3 stars. The same feeling for double the price.

This is the best moisturizer I've ever used. This product is great because not only is it light weight, it absorbs oil all day. My biggest mistake was skipping this step because I thought it would make my face more oily but it's exactly the opposite.

I highly recommend this moisturizer for people with oily/combination skin or those in high humidity areas. It's very light and really helps to control oil. I'd say my my face is less oily by about 60%, which is great considering I've tried many products and they haven't come close to these results. Goes great under liquid or powder makeup. It's also still a great moisturizer for those with oil only in the T-zone and dry skin elsewhere on the face. I won't be wasting any more time looking for another moisturizer. This one works for me.
