Mesmerizing scentFebruary 24, 2007 I absolutely love this fragrance. It is much softer than the original Angel fragrance, but it still lasts all day. A must have.

When I purchased Angel and Angel Innocent I thought that they were very unique scents, add the Angel Lily, and...mmmmmmmm!!! When I wear it I just can't help smelling myself!

I like the way the original Angel smells on OTHERS, but it just doesn't seem to work with my body chemistry. I tried the new Angel Le Lys (Lily), which is one of three of the new "Garden of Stars" fragrances from Thierry Mugler.
At first spritz, I can smell honey and a gorgeous floral, which would probably be lily, though I don't remember what lily is supposed to smell like! Either way, it's lovely in this perfume. It then mellows down into a soft, alluring, honey/chocolate/nutmeg scent with a very clean, smooth patchouli background. The original Angel has a lot of patchouli, and it seems most dominant. It also wasn't a clean patchouli on me, as it resembled old cigarettes..yuck. Not Angel Lily! The patchouli is done so well in this, and it never dominates the fragrance..but rather accentuates it perfectly. I am adoring this right now.
The lasting power is very good, as it lasts a full day. The bottle is also beautiful, as you can see above. The only downside is the price! You only get 0.8 oz for $60. However, the bottle is refillable. You can take your empty bottle to a store that carries Angel and Garden of Stars Angel, and they can refill your bottle for $40. This is the most expensive fragrance I own (considering the amount in it), but I love it so much.
If you love OR hate the original Angel, give this and the other two (Angel Violet and Angel Peony) a try.
