I fell in love with Oscar De La Renta's Volupte many years ago -1996. To date, I have not found a perfume that compares with or exceeds the floral beauty of this fragrance. Volupte boasts high notes of living flowers and last for hours. As the perfume lingers on, it beautifully descends to warmer notes of jasmine, lily of the valley, and amber. Volupte bears an irresistably sweet and engaging scent. It magically surrounds its wearer announcing the wearer's presence. The floral scent is certain, not overbearing. If you want to leave a lasting impression, this is the perfume for you.

Volupte is one of Oscar de la Renta's later scents. I think the first was his popular signature fragrance, Oscar. To me, Volupte is richly Oriental with notes of Jasmine, Mimosa, Incense, and Amber. I would recommend it for a woman who wants to make a statement, and for evening wear.
Few have not at least heard the name Oscar de la Renta. He's an internationally acclaimed designer whose creations are both admired and desired.
Born in the Dominican Republic he left his home to study in Spain. From there we went to Paris, and finally to New York to design for Elizabeth Arden. He began his own label in 1965, and since then his imprint has included jewelry, furs, handbags, shoes, furniture, and, of course, fragrances.
