Thank you Island of St. ThomasFebruary 14, 2008 My favorite perfume was Georgio Armani Gio (NOT Aqua) and they stopped making it a few years back. I went on a cruise in 2007 and one of our stops was St. Thomas. I remembered from previous visits that they had wonderful shops. Here I found a perfume store. Thinking that I might find some excess bottles of Gio I went in, although they would have more than likely smelt completely of alcohol. I asked the rep is they had anything similar and she took me to 3-4 different perfumes. Carolina Herrera was the one! I love this fragrance so much I keep it on my coffee table and give myself a spray even as I just sit and watch TV! It is a heavier floral perfume, so it's not for those looking for a light scent. I just love it and can't get enough of it. So much so that I have purchased pure Jasmine essential oil (one of the more expensive essential oils out there) and use it all around the house, and to make my own bath salts bath bombs. So, if you like Jasmine you will probably LOVE this perfume!
Steamy romantic nights and turning heads in the daytimeMay 24, 2007 For my wedding shower a friend had put Carolina Herrera fragrance on a fragrance card and put it in the box with a lovely negligee. I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued by the lovely lucious fragrance that wafted out of the box as I opened it, and went searching through the tissue to find out what it was. I love fragrance and like to change what I'm wearing according to my mood. I think of Carolina Herrera as fresh, sexy, clean and floral - and definitely a romantic fragrance for when you want to turn heads, or get the attention of your significant other (without saying a word) for a steamy hot night. I don't find it heavy at all, it just lasts.
I've been using it since 1991!September 8, 2006 I love Carolina Herrera! I've tried other perfumes (in between days) & have always come back to this one! Although I don't feel that the scent lingers (because I cannot smell it at the end of the day), I have always had people ask me what I'm wearing (both men & women), hours after I've applied it! So, it obviously lingers. I also use the scented body cream on special occasions, which has a subtle glitter & is very silky.
I like the fact that I only know of 2 other people that wear it. They started using it after they commented on how lovely I smelled. It's not a fragrance that you smell on others, like many other scents that are so easily recognizable, because sooo many people wear them! (It might change after my review, however...which might not be a good thing!)
If you want a very feminine fragrance, this would be the one for you!

While the blending of orange blossom and jasmine is luscious, this fragrance is a bit heavy for me. Perhaps I erred in buying the eau de parfum and should have purchased the eau de toilette. I've read that about three-fourths of eau de parfum is lost after several hours. That's not been my experience with Carolina Herrera. In fact, the aroma is still in the crook of my elbows until I wash it off, and it's as if I had just applied it. For many that may be a major attribute.
However, my preference is for a much lighter scent - sort of a "barely there." While this fragrance is lovely, I wouldn't recommend wearing it to a concert or any place where you'll be in close quarters with others who may not want to enjoy your wonderful aroma.
If your plans are for an evening in some secluded spot with a special someone - enjoy!
